Cida Empowerment Fund CIDA Empowerment FundCIDA EMPOWERMENT FUND

CIDA Empowerment Fund (CEF) is a 100% black owned and controlled investment vehicle; tasked with securing a sustainable source of funding for the education of CIDA City Campus students - a non-profit university providing economically and socially disadvantaged black youths access to relevant and quality education.

The fund is managed by women investment professionals and 100% of beneficiaries are black students. Partner companies and investors receive level one Black Economic Empowerment status with maximum points plus considerable value-add (access to graduates; improved market reach and awareness through future business leaders).

CEF is one of the best examples of successful broad-based empowerment in South Africa – investors are at the forefront of social change supporting education, entrepreneurship and community. The emphasis is on stakeholders, not shareholders; and sustainable profits, not short-term profit maximization; and empowering the communities from where the students live.
