STYLE GUIDE TO BRING ELEGANCE TO EVERY DAY
May 2008

Robyn CookeFresh from London, personal stylist Robyn Cooke has returned to our shores to share her expertise through the launch this month of Robyn Cooke Style Guide.

Having studied and worked with several of London's personal stylists including Zoe Lem of the BBC's popular series What Not to Wear, Robyn has set up her own personal styling consultancy operating in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Robyn Cooke Style Guide offers men and women the opportunity to discover their own unique style, break old habits in order to get out of a rut, present themselves to the world in a memorable way, be consistent with their personal brand or corporate identity, close the deal, get the promotion or make progress in a corporate environment, and build self-confidence.

Robyn works with individuals to help them define their personal style, build and maintain an organised and appropriate wardrobe, and interpret seasonal fashion trends.

With the belief that natural style is not only about outward appearances but has its roots firmly entrenched in good manners and common social etiquette, Robyn helps people to introduce grace and glamour to their daily encounters and bring elegance to the most mundane activities.

"In order to present ourselves in an authentic and credible way, we need to know who we are and be true to this," says Robyn. "I do not believe in creating an image for a person, style comes from within and is 100% genuine. I believe that starting with the person you are is the only way to create a true and enduring personal style."

Robyn has a BA Honours in Psychology from UCT, a graduate diploma in Marketing from Manchester Business School, and taught Marketing MBA at the University of Hull Business School. She has more than 15 years experience working for some of the largest global technology corporations in the world as marketing and communications director, largely based in London but working extensively in Europe, Africa and the USA.

In 2003 she completed a course at the London College of Fashion in personal styling and continued to develop her interest in this area by doing many hours of work experience with London's top personal stylists.

Robyn Cooke Style Guide services include personal style consultations, wardrobe planning, a shopping service (accompanied or unaccompanied), style parties, seasonal planning, special occasion dressing, wedding styling, London shopping, style public speaking and style gift vouchers.

"It is my role to help you develop your own personal style, to make every one of your daily encounters full of your personality and confidence, ensuring success and the spread of a bit of charm in all that you do."

The corporate programme includes personal style presentations; corporate style consultations; individual coaching; corporate dress policy; and staff incentives.

"I believe that grace, generosity of spirit and a soupcon of glamour are the essential ingredients to a well-lived life," says Robyn.
