Privately owned Stellenbosch winery, Peter Falke Wines, has released three new wines this month - the PF Sauvignon Blanc 2008, the PF Blanc de Noir 2008 and the Peter Falke Signature Sauvignon Blanc 2008.

The PF Sauvignon Blanc 2008 is enriched with aromas of green apples, guava and honey dew melon; and the refreshing taste of citrus zest with herbal undertones. Try the PF Blanc de Noir 2008 and savour vanilla and cotton candy that combine to create an intriguing toasty balance between wild tea and a remarkable nose of honey. The PF Cabernet Sauvignon 2003, launched last year, completes the collection of these sociable wines.

The newly released Signature Sauvignon Blanc 2008 is a harmonious balance of passion fruit and pineapple with hints of citrus aromas and a ripe nectarine taste sensation. Signature wines, which include a Cabernet Sauvignon 2003, are only released in years of exceptional harvest. The wines are produced from the vineyard's premier grapes, pre-selected by the winemaker, and left to ferment in high quality stainless steel tanks. Once fermentation has taken place, and only upon the winemaker's discretion, will the Signature wines be bottled and released, leading to limited numbers of vintages in this exclusive collection.

The estate, which opened to the public in November last year, is situated on Stellenbosch's Annandale Road that leads to the Hidden Valley - an area home to some of South Africa's most prestigious wine producers. With a chic tasting room and an elegant outdoor lounge, it is a sought after weekend sundowner spot in the Cape winelands.

Owned by the Peter Falke family since 1995, of the German Falke apparel company, the winery has supplied grapes to the surrounding established producers for the past eight years. The exclusive estate only produces 70 000 bottles a year focusing on exceptional quality and style.
