BUILD SANDCASTLES FOR A GOOD CAUSE

Haul out your buckets and spades and head down to Hout Bay beach for the annual Sandcastle Competition which will be held on Saturday February 13, 2010 and you'll be making a difference to the lives of children.

Funds raised go toward improving facilities and sponsoring underprivileged children at Valley Pre-Primary school, Sentinel High School in the Hout Bay Harbour community and Little Lamb Crèche in Imizamo Yethu township.

Competition categories include children, family, interschool, corporate and sponsored development teams called Sonwabile teams.

Registration is at 8.30am, the competition kicks off at 9.30am and runs until 1pm. Food and drink stalls as well as music, pony rides and a fun park will ensure it's a full day of family entertainment.
Entry fees are R30 an adult and R15 a child. Corporate teams' fees and sponsorship fees for Sonwabili teams are R600. School teams competing in the interschool category pay R20 a person or R100 for a team of up to 6 people.
