NAMIBIA RUGBY SIGN WITH PUMA®

Cape Town, South Africa, March 2010 - PUMA® SA has signed a three-year partnership agreement with the Namibia Rugby Union and will be the team's official technical supplier.
The global sportlifestyle brand is expanding its rugby business with Namibia the latest national team to join the growing PUMA rugby family which also includes Ireland and Samoa.
"PUMA is very proud to be a partner with the Namibia Rugby Union. The Namibia Rugby team join Ireland and Samoa as PUMA's rugby national teams, and enhances PUMA's growing association with rugby properties," says PUMA SA marketing director Brett Bellinger.
Namibia has qualified for the Rugby World Cup 2011 to be held in New Zealand, and the team will play in Group D against defending champions South Africa, Wales, Fiji and Samoa.
Buks Bok, President of the Namibian Rugby Union said, "It is a priority of ours to establish a series of smart partnerships to ensure that we maintain a competitive edge at an International level. This is why we have partnered with PUMA as our 'Official Technical Supplier'. They will thus be the exclusive supplier of kit and related apparel to the senior national team, its players and management."
For the first part of 2010, the Namibian team will wear PUMA's vKon Rugby match kit, and will then move into the Power 10 jersey for their end of year tour to Europe.
