In a first of its kind in SA, TFG (The Foschini Goup) is pioneering a modern way to review products online by adding functionality that allows you to upload photographs and video links of yourself to an online gallery.
The tool not only allows you to star rate and comment on a product, but also gives you a chance to take a selfie with a product and to post it to TFG online, sharing your thoughts and your looks with shoppers just like you.
“By the shopper, for the shopper – we want our customers to talk to each other about products on our online stores,” says Robyn Cooke, head of TFG eCommerce. “Our customer review gallery offers a platform for shoppers to showcase their personal style, and provide helpful tips and offer insights to others.”
Shoppers can upload their own imagery as well as links to YouTube or Vimeo videos to each and every product on TFG’s 12 online stores. These include Fabiani, Markham, Relay, @home, hi online, Duesouth, Sportscene, Totalsports, Duesouth Escapes, Anatomy, Archive and Foschiniforbeauty.
The reviews will be moderated only to ensure nothing offensive or irrelevant is posted.
TFG launched its online mall with online stores for homeware retailer, @home, and consumer tech brand, hi, in November 2014. Currently TFG has 12 of its 22 brands trading online. It aims to roll out the balance of its online stores over the next two years. Fashion retail brand Exact is due to go live in October 2017.
